Naila Varinde currently works as a Monitoring, Evidence and Learning Officer, in the TACID/Transparency and Accountability for Inclusive Development Project in Mozambique. She is a social scientist with 16 years of experience in project management, consultancy and research in institutional development, governance and political decentralization. Naila has experience in working with central, district and municipal-level government institutions, including in Zambézia and Nampula provinces. Moreover, she has experience in the management of development programs, namely in the areas of monitoring, evaluation and learning, as well as capacity building for democratic governance and strengthening of civil society. As Monitoring and Evaluation officer she has experience collecting and compilling data, selecting and training enumerators for data collection, and supervising and leading data collection fieldwork. In addition, Naila has worked extensively with civil society and community based organizations, in support to municipal governance and service delivery efficiency in urban areas. She has excellent organizational skills, as well as trainings skills involving multiple stakeholders. Naila has also large experience in project reporting, administrative and monitoring support. Naila is a fluent Portuguese speaker and has good domain of the English language.
